Flex-fuel vehicles have been using CNG for a decade. This is not new technology.

I would be interested in a cng vehicle. As to the lack of fuel stations, I have it on good authority that there were no gasoline stations available in the 1800's. Build it and they will come. A home system will also be a possibility with a decent filter system. Also a switchable gasoline fuel system would make an attractive option

since Honda does not recommend at home fueling (due to water/dirt issues in home natural gas) and the range is only 140-160 miles, this is a niche market only! Get ranges equivalent to existing vehicles with home refuel capability (electric or CNG) then the extra $10,000+ per vehicle might make a 10 year payback!

I've experienced just one BLEVE so far in my lifetime--I suspect OSHA is providing "overwatch" on this process--a reasonable thing and I trust local emergency crew are routinely trained....

Fill time for a CNG vehicle would be much shorter than the recharge time for an electric vehicle and most cities already have natural gas systems in place so your local stations would just need to hook up to the existing mains and add compressors.

The fact is USA is far behind in technology and infrastructure for Natgas Vehicles .. Even Pakistan and India are far ahead in this area. We can hide behind EPA or some other regulation but Natgas is very good as fuel as we dont need to refine it or change it , all it needs is compress to put it in cars.

There should be no controversy! What? The controversy is that the government support the survival of the industry? That it is more successful than the Volt or ethanol, both of which are dependent upon government funding?

GM and Ford listen to the needs of the Governors and Mayors pitching for natural gas vehicles for their states and cities.

I would love to have one. Problem is no place around to fill it up. We need to build up the info structure to fuel them. This would help keep the gas usage in the US and away from OPEC.

Natural gas cars are not on the radar of the current administration and, as such, gets no tax support or other incentives for their production and sales.
