"Who is going to buy an EV when the range is about 40 miles and takes hours to charge." I work 13 miles away, and the Volt can easily get me there and back on a single charge. I sleep at least 8 hours a night which is more than enough time to re-charge it. The Volt can also use gas for the rare occasion that I might want to go more than it will on electricity alone. It's only problem is it cost too much.
